Liz Toonkel is a Los Angeles based artist working in performance, theater and film. Her practice deals with ideas of absence and presence as they relate to the representation and existence of the female/feminine. She has recently performed at Honor Fraser Gallery, Perform Chinatown and LTD Gallery. Liz earned her BFA at New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts in Film & Television Production with a minor in Gender & Sexuality and holds a dual MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Art & Technology and Scenic Design.
