Erin Cairns Cella is a dance artist interested in the anatomical and physiological intricacies of the performing body to encourage a heightened sense of presence in both audiences and performers. Erin utilizes technical, athletic, yogic, and phenomenological physical practices to develop work that investigates the many ways to physically experience our increasingly digital reality.
Erin's work has been presented by BAX Upstart Festival, Center for Performance Research, Dance New Amsterdam WIP, Estrogenius Festival/ Women in Motion, Muhlenberg College, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Rover Soho, Temple University, Triskelion Arts, among others.
She has recently performed for Jodi Bender, Tanya Calamoneri/Company SoGoNo, Diana Crum, Rebecca Davis, Colleen Hooper, Esther m Palmer, Alexandra Taylor, Kathy Wasik and Anne Zuerner.
Erin holds a BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College, and an MFA in Dance, Performance and Choreography from Temple University. She is also a certified yoga instructor (Vinyasa and Hatha) and group exercise instructor.
