Dena Afrasiabi is a writer from California who’s now based in Austin, TX. Her fiction has been featured in JMWW, Prick of the Spindle and the anthology Tremors: New Fiction by Iranian American Writers among others. She has received fellowships from the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, the Millay Colony and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. She’s currently a PhD candidate at the University of Texas at Austin and co-founder/co-editor of the online literary journal, Elsewhere Lit with poet Nandini Dhar.
